COVID-19 updates

Hawai‘i Safe Travels restrictions ended on 03/25/2022 at 11:59 p.m. HST. Travelers arriving on 03/26/2022 and beyond will no longer be required to complete a Safe Travels application to enter Hawai‘i. Beginning at 12:00 a.m. HST, 03/26/2022, there will be no COVID-related requirements for arriving domestic passengers. Travelers arriving in Hawai‘i directly from international airports must still comply with U.S. federal requirements; consult with your airline.

INTERNATIONAL UPDATE:

The government is lifting its requirement that international air travelers to the U.S. take a COVID-19 test within a day before boarding their flights, easing one of the last remaining government mandates meant to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The mandate expires Sunday, June 12 at 12:01 a.m. EDT. The need for testing will be re-evaluated every 90 days and it could be reinstated if a troubling new variant emerges.

Please note, CDC’s Order requiring proof of vaccination for non-citizen nonimmigrants to travel to the United States is still in effect. For information please click here.

Horizon Guest House takes great pride in maintaining the highest standards in cleanliness and hygiene. In these uncertain times we want to reassure all of our guests that we are taking additional measures for your safety. All guests must be fully vaccinated (at least two shots).

Cleaning

  • Thorough sanitizing of the guest house, especially high-touch surfaces in common areas (living areas, utility room, pool kitchen). We also disinfect and hot wash all of our linens and towels.
  • All dishes used by our guests, and in cooking, are sanitized using a hot cycle in the dishwasher.

Social Distancing

  • Our living room is fully open to airflow on two sides and there are a number of different spaces where you can enjoy your breakfast – main lanai, living room, dining room, poolside or your own lanai. Masks are optional in the common areas. As hosts we will be observing physical distancing at all times (6 ft. minimum).
