About our property

Horizon Guest House is oriented exactly north/south and east/west. The sun sets out over the ocean (west) affording some spectacular sunsets. Each suite has its own lanai looking out over the ocean (west). The day breezes are from the ocean (warm and gentle) and at night they reverse, drop in temperature to a cool temperature, coming down the slopes of Mauna Loa. Each suite is oriented to take advantage of both the warm day breezes and the cool night breezes (there are electric blankets on each bed). Room #4 is known as the honeymoon suite as it affords the maximum in privacy due to its location at the end of the wing.

However, each of the suites has a ‘privacy’ wall between it and the next room so that even when relaxing on your private lanai, you will not be able to see other guests, yet still enjoy the expansive Pacific Ocean view. Our library features an extensive DVD collections, satellite TV, and broadband WiFi (reception available throughout the building). Complimentary washer/dryer along with beach towels, snorkel gear, coolers, etc. available in the laundry/utility room at the end of the guest wing. Pool-side BBQ facilities including dishes and silverware are provided so that you can enjoy a BBQ while looking out over the Pacific Ocean. See Google Map or Earth for an excellent view from above.
